Farm Logbook - A busy end to the year!

This last month of the year is busy for the production team, who are finishing threshing the Perilla and Tagetes patula, continuing to sort the seeds and processing the germination analysis returns for our 2022 batches. Olivier is putting our crops' irrigation systems into frost protection and is continuing to work the soil in the orchard and tunnels by sowing winter green manures (a mixture of Field Beans and Rye). Tagetes patula Tagetes patula The production team recently welcomed three people in professional reintegration with two supervisors from the Restaurants du Coeur association. They helped us extract the seeds from the squashes, which is no easy task! At the end of the day, they left with the rest of the squashes (without the seeds, of course) to make soup and distribute hot meals in the streets of downtown Angers. This reintegration project allows workers who are far from professional life to be followed by teams specialized in a sector of activity and can inspire vocations. We plan to continue this approach and be able to welcome them for internships lasting several weeks.
