Elderberry wine
Ingredients for making elderberry wine
- White wine at 12°C of average quality
- 6 corymbs of elderberry (or bunch) per bottle of wine
- 20cl of fruit alcohol per bottle of wine
- 150g of sugar per bottle of wine
Pick fresh flowers and use them immediately. Shake them gently to remove small insects but not too much pollen.
In a large jar, combine the wine, fruit liqueur, and sugar. Remove as many stems as possible, leaving only the flowers and add them to the liquid.
Seal and let macerate for 3 days, stirring daily. After the maceration time, filter and bottle. Seal and store in a cool, dry place away from light.
