Growing tips:
To successfully grow lettuce, choose a partially sunny location, even in a pot on a balcony. Leave 30 cm between each plant and water regularly. Slugs and snails love lettuce, so consider protecting your plants with netting.
Good to know:
Stagger your plantings to spread out your harvest and enjoy fresh lettuce all year round.
In the kitchen:
Lettuce is primarily eaten raw in salads, served with a vinaigrette. However, some varieties, such as romaine lettuce, can be cooked, for example in spring vegetable gardens. You can even cook their flower stalks like asparagus.
In the event of a stock shortage, La Ferme de Sainte Marthe may consider replacing one of the references with an equivalent variety that is relevant to the theme.
