ASSORTMENT OF PEPPERS AND CHILLI PEPPERS
A selection of 5 varieties to enhance and complement your summer dishes.
This assortment is composed of:
- Small Marseille pepper
- Yellow square Asti pepper
- Red bull horn pepper
- Espelette-type Gorria pepper
- Lollipop pepper from Provence
Culture advice:
Peppers and chilies need plenty of heat to thrive. In cooler regions, growing entirely in a greenhouse is recommended. Nighttime temperatures should also not fall below 10°C. Pinch off chilies and peppers in August, when they have formed about ten fruits, by cutting the stems back to two leaves above the last fruit formed.
Good to know:
Chili maceration is a natural repellent for all insects.
In the kitchen:
Depending on the variety, the taste of this species ranges from "mild" or even "sweet" for the pepper, to "very hot" for some chilies. It is therefore best to do your research before tasting.
In the event of a stock shortage, La Ferme de Sainte Marthe may consider replacing one of the references cited in this assortment with an equivalent variety relevant to the theme.
