Anthemis nobilis
Roman chamomile is a very hardy aromatic perennial , famous for its calming and digestive properties, its ability to soothe joint pain , teething in children and many other properties. It is used in infusions . The fragrant white flowers in small pompons appear in July - August .
The foliage is finely cut and a pretty grey-green , giving off a scent reminiscent of balsamic or apple . This plant will reach 10 to 30 cm in height. Some people use Roman chamomile as a substitute for grass in places where the latter cannot grow properly (sandy or gravelly soils ) and where trampling is low.
Successful Sowing of Roman Chamomile
Sow in spring or autumn: on the surface at 20°C in a finely sieved sand/potting soil mixture.
Sow indoors in March-April or directly in place on moist, well-refined soil in May .

Plant in a sunny location in well -drained soil.

Divide the clumps every three years and cut back heavily in the fall.
Harvesting Roman Chamomile
Pick the flowers at the beginning of the flowering period and dry them.
