Chelidonium majus
Greater celandine was considered a magical plant for centuries. In the Middle Ages, alchemists believed they could transform metals into gold thanks to its yellow latex. Greater celandine is a wild plant with golden yellow flowers, also called 'Lightning' or 'Wart herb', it has proven virtues against warts. Its sap applied daily at nightfall makes warts disappear. (Be careful, this sap is powerfully tinted). It grows wild on the edge of paths, in rubble, along old walls or at the edge of woods, often in damp and shady places, with a preference for calcareous soils.
