Description

Common vetch, also called square pea, is a vegetable plant with thin stems, 40 to 50 cm high.

Bring the green or dried seeds to a boil once, then discard the first cooking water, renew the water and let it cook.

We eat the green seeds, cooked like peas or beans in butter, with bacon, etc.

Sowing: Sow in March-April, one seed every 5 cm, in rows spaced 40 cm apart, in a sunny position in fresh soil. Earth up and row like peas when the plants are tall enough. Harvest 3 months after sowing.
