Description

Hyssop is a perennial Mediterranean plant , very aromatic with a powerful fragrance. Very melliferous , its blue flowers appearing from July to September will please insects.
In cooking, its leaves and flowers flavor salads , hors d'oeuvres , sauce bases , stuffings ... it is used in the composition of many liqueurs .

Hyssop is also a medicinal plant for use in herbal teas and infusions for its stimulant , expectorant and stomachic properties (take the leafy stems before flowering for use in herbal tea and infusion ).

Sowing Hyssop

Sowing: from February to May in a nursery, from May to July in the garden every 60 cm . Add a little compost when planting.
Grow in open ground or in pots. Sunny exposure , in dry , well -drained soil.
