Description

Mid-late variety, quite tall, producing large ears with sweet creamy white grains. Ripens in about 110-115 days.

Corn was the staple food of the peoples of the "New World", it is a shame that today we are neglecting this cereal and that we only consume a few varieties of sweet corn or popcorn . Reserve a small place in your vegetable garden for old varieties and rediscover the taste and flavor of traditionally grown varieties.

Sowing Corn

Sow in May, in a sunny, sheltered location, 3 to 4 seeds per seedbed, 40 cm apart, in rows 70 cm apart. Leave only the best-looking plant, hill up the plants when they reach 15 to 20 cm in height. Watering.

Tip: combine corn and beans!

Many gardeners are smart about growing their beans on corn plants. Corn grows tall, straight, and is firmly anchored in the ground. Pole beans, as well as gherkins and pickling cucumbers, will find in it a faithful ally for growing serenely towards the tops. Sorghum , which requires less water, can also take on this role of "living stake".
