Description

St. John's Wort is a hardy perennial plant growing from 20 to 80 cm in height. It produces numerous star-shaped yellow flowers with a balsamic scent. Easy to grow and adapting to any type of soil, St. John's Wort will be very useful for pleasantly furnishing difficult-to-grow areas in your garden. Medicinal St. John's Wort has many virtues: astringent, antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, sedative, anxiolytic, antidepressant, antioxidant, antiviral. St. John's Wort is photosensitizing. Sowing: February, March in trays or pots on the surface and in the light because the seed needs light to germinate. Plant in spring or autumn when the plants have a few leaves. You can also sow your seeds directly in place in spring after the frosts. Be careful because the seeds can easily be dispersed by bad weather. Keep 15 cm between plants. Flowering: June to October. Harvest: Flowers can be harvested as soon as they begin to bloom, cut to 20 cm. Dry for use in infusions and tinctures.
