How to successfully sow watermelon
Sow from March to May in pots or in a warm bed (between 20 and 30°C).
Plant out on a warm bed 1 m in all directions under a frame or plastic tunnel which should be kept there until the end of June then gradually aerated.
Planting watermelon plants
Plant in a warm, sunny location. As soon as the plant has formed 4 to 6 leaves, prune the main stem: this will quickly allow for good branching and greater fruiting.
Regular watering at the feet.
Watermelon Harvest
Orangelo watermelon fruits are harvested after 90 to 100 days. The fruit should not sound hollow, but should be heavy and have a shiny, waxy appearance.
