Description

The chocolate orange rudbeckia is a biennial plant with large flowers with a brown center and dark orange petals with light golden orange tips. It is a hardy, drought-tolerant plant. The chocolate orange rudbeckia is beautiful in flowerbeds or as a cut flower.
How to successfully sow chocolate orange rudbeckia
Sow from March to April in a warm place, in trays or pots of fine seed compost at a depth equal to the diameter of the seeds. Keep the compost moist but not soggy until the seeds emerge. Sowing in open ground is possible after the risk of frost has passed after mid-May. Transplant, leaving 50 to 60 cm between each plant.
Planting in the garden
Rudbeckias thrive in well-drained, fertile soil and a sunny location. Mulch around the base to keep the soil cool in summer. Water regularly.
Bloom
The flowers appear from June to October.
