Description

Also known as New Zealand spinach, it withstands the summer heat without going to seed. It has the same properties and is eaten like spinach.

Successful sowing of Horned Spinach

We recommend soaking the seeds in a bowl of warm water the day before sowing.
The Horned Spinach is sensitive to the cold, so you can sow your seeds from March or April in a greenhouse or heated frame in pots. Place 3 to 4 seeds in pockets enriched with compost and potting soil, 80 cm apart in all directions in a warm, sunny location in loose, light, fresh and rich soil.
In May and June, when there is no longer any risk of frost, you can sow your seeds in place.

Water well in case of drought.

Growing Tips

Water regularly as the plants grow. Mulch. It tolerates heat well, but the soil must remain cool to ensure proper growth.
