55 MEDICINAL PLANTS IN MY GARDEN - GROWING THEM, HARVESTING THEM, PRESERVING THEM
This book takes us to discover the medicinal garden. Like the health of the gardener who cultivates it, because it is indeed a question here of growing his natural and personalized pharmacy. Thus, one garden will be more devoted to plants against insomnia, another will gather beneficial plants for the digestive sphere, the third will be multipurpose, to face all kinds of ailments... The first part of this work recalls the basics of gardening and the particularities of the culture of "simples", and their harvest, in the garden as on a balcony. Then everyone will be able to draw at will from 55 files presenting the plants most commonly used in natural pharmacopoeia, from absinthe to violet via arnica, marshmallow, St. John's wort, valerian... Each file presents the conditions of culture of the plant, the methods of its harvest and its conservation as well as its therapeutic properties and any warnings. A final part is devoted to transformation, giving simple recipes for decoctions, macerations, hydrosols, syrups... From the garden to the medicine cabinet, the path is not so complicated and so rewarding!
