Description

The foliage of Akébia pentaphylla consists of five thin, light green, semi-evergreen leaves. Its flowers, of a deep red, form long drooping clusters. This plant produces large pink fruits. When these open, one can taste the gelatinous and sweet envelope of the seeds.
