Ammi is a medicinal plant that has been known for many years, as it was used in ancient Egypt for its ability to treat skin diseases. Used both as medicine and as food , its peeled stems were eaten as a simple vegetable in the Maghreb , and the fruits as a condiment .

Sowing : end of March - beginning of April until May, with rapid emergence in 2 weeks. Its white flowers appear from July to September .
To best promote the flowering of the plant, it is important to place it in moist , preferably clayey soil, with sunny to semi-shaded exposure. Very resistant to cold, Ammi easily withstands temperatures below zero, even down to -23°C .
