Green anise is grown for its seeds , which are used in pastries , bread , sauces , and as an accompaniment to grilled fish . Its leaves , harvested young, can flavor summer salads .
Green anise also has digestive , carminative , stomachic , antitussive , etc. properties.
Harvest the seeds before they are fully ripe.

Sowing : from April to May, in a sunny location, in rows spaced 30 cm apart.
Thin to 20 cm between plants.
