Description

The compact white-flowered strawberry tree is a dwarf or semi-dwarf variant of the traditional strawberry tree, particularly suitable for small gardens or confined spaces. This version of the strawberry tree offers the same beauty as the original plant, with the advantage of a more modest size and elegant white flowers .

  • Planting : It is best to plant the compact strawberry tree in spring or autumn . Choose a well-drained and well-exposed location, while allowing at least 1.5 to 2 meters of spacing between each plant if you are planting more than one.
  • Watering : The compact strawberry tree is drought tolerant once well established, but will benefit from moderate watering for the first few years, especially during dry periods.
  • Pruning : Pruning is not necessary, but you can lightly prune the shrub after flowering to remove dead parts or to maintain a more compact shape. Pruning can also encourage better fruiting.
  • Hardiness : The compact strawberry tree is quite hardy , able to withstand temperatures down to -10°C , making it suitable for Mediterranean climates and regions with moderate winters.
