Annual with graceful, deep blue flowers that attract bees and butterflies. Ideal for cutting and drying. May need staking. It reseeds easily the following year. Height: 30 to 60 cm. Cornflower also has ophthalmic decongestant, astringent, and softening properties used in hydrosol compresses, finely filtered infusions, or eye baths for inflamed eyes or eyelids. Cornflower is also useful on the skin for its anti-inflammatory action. Successful sowing of cornflower Sow between March and May in a nursery, transplant into the ground in May every 30 cm, for flowering from July. It is also possible to sow directly by broadcasting after the last frosts, then thin out every 20 cm. Sowing possible in September in place. Location: sunny.
