Monarch celeriac is a vigorous, late-ripening variety, suitable for harvesting and winter storage. Its root is large, well-rounded, smooth, with firm, white flesh.
How to successfully sow celeriac
Sow from April to May in pots in a heated, light place.
Prick out the plants twice before final planting.
Celeriac cultivation
Plant out in a sunny location, spaced 30 cm apart in the row in rows 40 cm apart.
Celery likes well-rotted compost and wood ash additions.
To blanch celery ribs, tie the leaves and hill them 15 days before use.
Celery requires a lot of water and does not tolerate drought at all. A lack of water will cause black heart disease. Mulch and water frequently.

Harvest from September to November.
