This perennial chicory, reaching up to 120 cm, offers blue flowers from July to September. It thrives in dry to cool soil and sunny locations. If you want to eat it like a chicory, you can blanch it to reduce its bitterness, or add a few leaves to your salads for a unique touch.

Sowing

Sowing of April to September: Soak the seeds, then sow by broadcasting or in pockets, or in rows 30 cm apart, in a cool, lightly shaded nursery. The seeds germinate in about 15 days.

Transplanting

Transplant after about 1 month at the 1 to 2 leaf stage.
