Description
Full Heart Blonde Escarole Chicory is an early and hardy variety. It forms a beautiful head with wide, thick, and crisp leaves. Its heart is curly and very full, and it whitens naturally. It is ideal for summer and fall crops.
Use
It is eaten raw in salad or cooked in a gratin, in juice, or with béchamel sauce.
Sowing
Sow from June to July in nurseries. Transplant the plants 30 cm apart in the row, in a sunny location.
Harvest
Harvest approximately 3 months after sowing. Be sure to water regularly. It can be grown earlier in the season, but beware of rapid bolting.
