Description
The Cornet de Bordeaux chicory does not freeze when ripe and is harvested from November to January. It offers crisp foliage with a strong flavor.
Use
It is eaten raw in salad or cooked in gratin, in jus, or with béchamel sauce.
Sowing
Sow from June to July in nurseries. Transplant 30 cm apart in the row, in a sunny location.
Harvest
Harvest from November to January. Water regularly. They can be grown earlier in the season, but they bolt very quickly.
