Description

Sessantina sprouting broccoli is a very productive early variety, producing slender sprouts, stems, and small green inflorescences in 60 days, to be eaten in salads or blanched. It has a pleasant flavor, somewhere between cabbage and sweet mustard.
Sessantina sprouting broccoli prefers a temperate climate and should not be sown during periods of intense heat. The leaves and stems with the inflorescences are eaten steamed or sautéed, like asparagus.

Successfully sowing Sessantina broccoli sprouts

Autumn sowing in open ground from September (for regions with a mild climate) or under cover in November.
Distance: 25-30 cm between rows and 15-20 cm in the row.

Cultivation of seeded broccoli cabbage Sessantina

Cut the leaves and stems as soon as the first flower buds appear, a few centimeters above the plant, to allow the shoots to grow and thus obtain a second harvest.

Harvest

Harvest 60 days after sowing.
