Brassica oleracea var. italica
A vigorous, medium-growing variety for early summer and fall harvest. It produces large, firm, slender heads with a sturdy but non-woody stem. Once the main head is cut, the side shoots can be harvested as young shoots.
The flavor is mild.
Sowing
Sowing in a nursery under cover : February to April.
Outdoor sowing : April and June.
Planting
Plant when plants have 4 to 5 leaves, 40-50 cm from the row, in rows 80 cm apart.
Frequent watering.
Harvest
Summer and fall harvest : May to July or September-October.
Variety specificities
A newly bred, reproducible organic variety offering an alternative to hybrids. Grown from the outset under organic conditions, it is perfectly suited to organic cultivation.
