Description

This hardy variety produces a large, round, yellow root with a thin, green collar. It can be eaten young or used as fodder. It can be harvested throughout the winter.

Sowing

Sow in a nursery from May to the end of July, in rows spaced approximately 40 cm apart. Thin to 7 cm. When the plant is about the diameter of a pencil, transplant 30 cm apart in all directions. The root collar must be well exposed to the soil.

Harvest

Can be left in the ground over winter and pulled up as needed, from September to December.
