Tardivo endive is a variety for forcing without soil cover. It produces large, heavy, compact endives, greenish-yellow in color, firm and without bitterness. Harvest from December to March.

Successful Sowing of Endive

Sow thinly in place from April to August, thin to 10/15 cm in the row, spaced 30 cm apart.

From October/November, pull up the roots and cut the leaves 2 cm above the root collar. Plant the roots tightly together vertically in a 25 cm deep trench and cover the trench with 25 cm of light soil or compost.
