Russian tarragon is a perennial variety that is hardy to extreme cold and is grown for its leaves , which are used as a condiment and aromatic. Russian tarragon is more productive and robust than French tarragon, but it has much less flavor than its French cousin.
How to successfully grow Russian tarragon
Harvest as needed, 12 months after sowing . Before winter, it is best to cut all stems a few centimeters from the ground and mulch . As soon as the good weather returns, uncover to let them grow. Note that pinching the flower stems as soon as they appear limits the exhaustion of the plant and therefore encourages the production of tender and tasty young shoots.
