The 'Autumn First' raspberry bush is a remontant variety, renowned for its precocity and abundant production from the end of summer.
It is vigorous, generally reaching a height of 1.5 to 2 meters and has robust, straight canes with few thorns, facilitating the harvesting of the fruits.
The fruits are bright red in color, and are characterized by their mild and sweet flavor, with a slight acidic touch. They are firm, which makes them easy to pick and handle, while being perfect for fresh consumption or for making jams, coulis, and other desserts.
This raspberry plant is also appreciated for its ease of cultivation. It prefers well-drained soil, rich in humus, and a sunny exposure. However, it also tolerates partial shade. To encourage optimal production, it is recommended to prune the canes to ground level at the end of winter, in order to promote the growth of new fruiting shoots.
