Gladiolus 'Kingston Ruffle' is a spectacular variety distinguished by its magnificent double flowers in shades of pink and peach , enhanced with subtle cream highlights. Its wavy, slightly ruffled petals give it an elegant and romantic look, adding a touch of sophistication to the garden.

This gladiolus grows to a height of around 90 to 100 cm , making it perfect for beds, borders or pots. Its flowers, which bloom gradually from the bottom to the top of the stem, guarantee a lasting visual spectacle throughout the summer. Ideal as a cut flower , it stands out for its long vase life. Easy to grow, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. The 'Kingston Ruffle' is therefore a perfect choice for those looking for a flower that is elegant, hardy and full of charm.

Planting gladioli

Plant the bulbs in moist soil 8-10 cm deep and 10-15 cm apart. You can plant as early as mid-autumn for early spring flowering (still protect the vegetation with dead leaves or straw) or in spring for late spring and summer flowering. Water regularly as the plant does not tolerate drought well. Don't hesitate to anticipate possible insect attacks (thrips, etc.) with a preventative treatment, especially as summer approaches.
