Gladiolus 'Red' is a vibrant variety distinguished by its striking red flowers , a vivid and intense color that immediately captures attention. Its deep red hue brings a touch of warmth and passion to the garden, creating a magnificent contrast in beds or borders.

Reaching approximately 100 to 120 cm in height , this gladiolus is ideal for adding verticality and color to your plantings. Its flowers bloom gradually from the bottom to the top of the stem, ensuring a lasting visual spectacle throughout the summer. In addition to being a beautiful flower for the garden, Gladiolus 'Red' also makes an excellent cut flower , with excellent vase life. Easy to grow, it prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil. This gladiolus is perfect for those looking to add brightness and liveliness to their garden.

Planting gladioli

Plant the bulbs in moist soil 8-10 cm deep and 10-15 cm apart. You can plant as early as mid-autumn for early spring flowering (still protect the vegetation with dead leaves or straw) or in spring for late spring and summer flowering. Water regularly as the plant does not tolerate drought well. Don't hesitate to anticipate possible insect attacks (thrips, etc.) with a preventative treatment, especially as summer approaches.
