Golden Spring Batavia lettuce is an early season variety, forming a medium-sized, tightly closed head of light green color. Its crisp leaves are moderately blistered, with slightly wavy and very slightly serrated edges. It has no anthocyanin pigmentation and bolts fairly early.
This lettuce can be eaten in salads or braised.
Successful Sowing of Golden Spring Batavia Lettuce
Sowing: sow from January to April under cover, and from March to August in open ground.
Transplanting: when the plants have a few leaves, transplant 20 cm in all directions, in a sunny position, in fertile, humus-rich and fresh soil.
Watering: water regularly.
