The Appia variety is a lettuce with a very large, light green head. Its leaves are thin, smooth, tender, and crisp. It offers excellent flavor. Slow to bolt, it can be grown year-round.

Sowing and cultivation

Sowing : light in February or March in a nursery or under cover, or from April to August in open ground. Transplant when the plants have a few leaves, in a sunny position in fertile, humus-rich and fresh soil at a depth of 20 cm in all directions.

Harvest : approximately 2 months after sowing.
