Description

This annual mix of edible flowers consists of borage, nasturtium, cornflower, marigold, French marigold, and edible chrysanthemum. The plants can be sown as a mixture in the same bed. Nasturtium flowers have a peppery, slightly spicy flavor, with a slight taste of watercress and discreetly sweet young leaves. Borage, with its famous 5-petal star-shaped flowers, has a salty taste similar to that of oysters. They can be eaten fresh or dried. In Asia, chrysanthemum flowers are eaten like vegetables. Marigold has yellow or orange flowers with a slight radish flavor. Successfully sowing edible flowers in a mixture Sow from April to July in fine seed compost. Cover with a few millimeters of compost and keep moist until emergence. Flowering Flowering from May to October.
