Description

Cherry caramel phlox is an annual plant offering numerous small, vintage-looking flowers in shades ranging from cream to caramel, around a pink center. Nectariferous and melliferous, they attract butterflies and enhance bouquets. Ideal for flowerbed borders. Height: 25 cm. Successfully sowing cherry caramel phlox Sow in February-April in pots of fine seed compost. Phlox seeds need darkness to germinate, so they should be sown 3-4 mm deep. Firm lightly. Water and keep moist until emergence. Place the seedlings in a sheltered greenhouse or under a frame in a sunny location. It is possible to sow directly in the garden from May to June. Sow by broadcasting or in pockets and cover with 3-4 mm of fine seed compost. Keep moist. Thin to leave 15-20 cm between plants. Planting in the garden Plant in May when frost is no longer a risk. Care Water the plant regularly during warm periods. Remove faded flowers. Cut back the plant after flowering in the fall. Flowering Sow from June to August.
