A magnificent recent variety of British origin , this snow pea with purple pods and two-tone flowers, reaching a height of around 1 meter, will be both aesthetic and productive. Resistant to powdery mildew and tolerant to downy mildew, you will harvest its very flat and still tender pods. Eaten raw, they will retain this beautiful purple color, and steamed or sautéed, they will become dark green.
Shiraz half rowan pea seedlings
Sow from mid-March to mid-June in place, in a sunny position. Plant one seed every 2 or 3 cm in rows 30 cm apart or in pockets, with 6 to 8 seeds per pocket, spaced 30 to 40 cm apart in all directions. Hill up the peas three weeks after emergence and put in place a support to support these stems.

Harvest the young, purple, tender pods from June to early August.
