The Kelvedon Wonder pea is a highly sought-after dwarf variety with wrinkled grains, native to England. Its long, pointed, straight pods contain an average of 7 large grains with a pleasantly sweet taste. Very hardy, the Kelvedon Wonder pea is very heat-resistant.

Sowing the Kelvedon Wonder Pea

Kelvedon Wonder peas thrive in cool, light soil. They thrive in sunny, well-ventilated spaces.
Sowing can be done from March to June in open ground, in rows or in pockets. The surface should be hoed a few days after emergence and the plants should be earthed up after 3 weeks. Watering should be regular, but not excessive.

Kelvedon Wonder Pea Harvest

Harvest from June to August.
Peas should be picked while still young to retain their sweet taste and tenderness.
