The professional technique of pressed clods is now within your reach thanks to manual clod presses which allow you to produce, at the most favorable time, vigorous plants, of all the varieties you want. Your denser clods will allow quality rooting and planting will be easier. The 17 mm clod press produces 20 mini clods of 20x20x17 mm with a small recess for the seed. It allows the early start of crops on a small surface, it is ideal for vegetables to be transplanted several times (celery, cabbage, lettuce, etc.). The mini clods can be transplanted after 2-4 weeks in larger clods using the 50 mm 1672Q clod press and 1673Q hollow cubes or in pots. How to choose your clod press? The 17 mm 20 clod press 1671Q: suitable for all small seeds. It will allow early start of crops on a small surface, ideal for vegetables to be transplanted several times (celery, cabbage, etc.). The 17 mm mini-clods can be transplanted after 2-4 weeks into larger clods using the 50 mm 1672Q clod press and 1673Q hollow cubes or into pots. The 38 mm 5-clod clod press 1699Q: will be suitable for all seed sizes. The 50 mm 4-clod clod press 1672Q: ideal for sowing tomatoes, squash, aubergines, beans, etc. The small 17 mm clods created with the 1671Q 20-clod clod press can be transplanted into the clods of the 50 mm 1672Q clod press using 1673Q hollow cubes or into pots. The 50 mm clods can be transplanted directly into the garden when the risk of frost has passed. How to use the clod press? What potting soil should you use to successfully grow your clods? You can use a special clod press potting soil or make your own mixture: 2 buckets (10 L) of blond peat 1 bucket of compost (over a year old) 1 bucket of garden soil 2 to 3 L of sand 2 to 3 handfuls of rock powder 1 to 3 handfuls of limestone amendment. 1. Sieving Use a sieve (4 mm) to sift each component of the mixture. 2. Mixing Mix all the elements well to obtain a homogeneous potting soil. 3. Humidification Water the special clod press potting soil or your mixture. Squeeze a handful of potting soil, the ideal level of humidity is reached when the drops of water ooze between the fingers. Filling the clod press Insert the clod press vertically into the moistened mixture several times. Preferably follow the walls to the bottom of the container. The press is full when potting soil or water appears between the upper gaps. At this point, smooth the excess potting soil over the edge of your container. Expelling the clods Place the clod press in the growing tray or on another flat surface. On a flat surface, press the press to release the clods. Space out the clods in your growing tray. Place the clods on a tray with a light layer of water. Sowing in the clods Place the seeds in the recesses of the clods. Respect the germination temperatures of each species. Place your clods in full light! This is an often overlooked factor and a lack of light will result in etiolated plants that will shoot upwards.

Vraiment petit

Nul. Je n'avais pas bien regardé la taille, mais à l'usage même si ça compresse la terre, le trou pour la graine n'est pas bien visible et cela ne sépare pas en mottes. Très déçue.
