Evergreen perennial , used for its aromatic and medicinal qualities. The plant can reach 80 cm in height. Prune in spring to give it a bushy shape and encourage the appearance of new shoots. It gives off a strong odor marked by notes of coconut .

Rue has repellent properties against harmful insects, especially aphids .
It is said to have tonic , stimulant , antispasmodic and vermifuge properties, but also abortive properties !
In cooking , in small quantities, its bitterness enhances sauces, vegetables, eggs, salads.

Rue Sowing

Sowing : In February/March for indoor and heated greenhouse sowing. In April for outdoor sowing. Transplant into pots when the plants are 5 cm high. Plant out permanently in May , in any type of soil, but in a sunny position. Harvest the following year. Requires little watering .
