Tonic of the nervous system, stimulant , digestive , diuretic , antiseptic , antispasmodic , it combats depressive states, digestive disorders and is an effective remedy against sore throats .

In cooking, the lemony , camphoric and slightly bitter aroma of sage means that it is often used in marinades , charcuterie , etc.

How to successfully sow sage

Sowing : in pockets of 2-3 seeds , from March-April , after the frosts , in pots or in open ground, in a sunny location.
Sage likes well-drained soils and tolerates limestone .

Cut back adult plants in spring .
