Description

Native to Syria, the bladder campion is a very decorative and melliferous perennial plant, with edible young leaves and flowers. Approximately 40 cm high, the flowering of the bladder campion extends from April to September, it will adapt to all types of soil, preferring well-drained and sunny sites. The young tender leaves of bladder campion are used added to salads, soups, vegetable stir-fries or in omelets. The flavor of the young leaves is slightly sweet and close to peas or arugula or chicory but milder.
