Stevia rebaudiana
Stevia is a plant native to Paraguay , where the Guarani Indians have used it for centuries. There, it is called " honey leaf " or " sweet herb . " Stevia rebaudiana is said to have, among other medicinal properties .
Stevia reaches 40-60 cm at maturity, grown like basil . Pinch to obtain a bushy habit.
Sowing
Sowing : from February to May , in a terrine (20°C minimum). Since germination of stevia is difficult, we advise you to expose the seedlings to a cycle of 16 hours of daily light to facilitate emergence . Keep moist . Transplant the plants when they have 6 to 8 pairs of leaves , in sunny exposure and poor soil . Stevia fears drought , mulch well and water regularly .
