Thymus serpyllum

A creeping variety whose leaves give off a slightly less pronounced fragrance than common thyme. In a clump, it is decorative because it is covered in purple flowers throughout the summer.

Also called Farigoule or creeping or wild thyme , perennial , ground cover, used in bouquets garnis and in southern cooking. Extremely aromatic green foliage. Minimum temperature: -10° . Same needs as other varieties of thyme .

Sowing

From April to June in place, then thin to 5-8 cm in the row. Renew sowing every 3 years .

Harvest

From June to July , starting the following year, at the time of flowering .
