Annual bearing beautiful rounded umbels, with a subtle lavender blue color, with a slightly sweet scent, nectariferous, from July to September. It attracts many insects and butterflies. It is particularly suitable for making fresh bouquets or dried flowers. Plant height from 0.5 to 1m. Suitable for growing in south-facing beds or in pots on balconies/terraces. To be planted in very sunny and warm locations, partial shade only in warm climates. Low water requirements. Species native to Australia introduced in Europe in the 19th century, its name means "blue lace flower". Successful sowing of Trachymene Lacyblue Sow possible under cover from February to March, in a terrine, under cover, on the surface, in light and at around 18-20 °C, emergence in 15 to 30 days, keep moist. Transplant into a pot at the 2-leaf plant stage. Plant in the final location in 6 to 8 weeks, after the last frosts, with 20 cm between plants. Plant in rich but well-drained soil. Prefer direct sowing in March-April then thin out to 30 cm. Flowering of Trachymene Lacyblue Flowering in about 14 weeks, the flowers appear from July to September.
