Description

The Dar cucumber is a dwarf, shrubby variety that does not exceed 50 cm in length. Its fruits, approximately 12 cm long, are elongated and light green in color and are perfect for salads or marinating . Its thin skin allows it to be eaten without peeling. This variety is ideal for growing on balconies and/or in pots .

This variety of the cucurbitaceae family prefers sunny exposures and heat.

How to successfully sow cucumbers

Sow from March to May in fine seed compost at 20-25°C , keeping it moist until the seedlings emerge. To get beautiful plants, start by sowing 3 seeds per pot , then select the best-looking plants and transplant them. Remember to thin out the plants from time to time and water them regularly.

Planting in the garden

Transplant into fresh, humus-rich soil when the plant has 3 leaves and frost is no longer a risk. Space 0.60 m apart, in rows 0.50 m apart, in a sunny, warm location.
