Batavia Reine des Glaces or Beauregard curly lettuce produces a small, closed-heart head of light to medium green color. The leaves, with their laciniated edges and deep, pointed teeth, are green, tender, and very crisp. Very sensitive to heat. Very light blister. No anthocyanin pigmentation.

Successful sowing of spring lettuce
Sow thinly in February or March in a nursery or under cover. Transplant when the plants have a few leaves, in a sunny position in fertile, humus-rich, fresh soil, 20 cm apart in all directions. Harvest approximately 2 months after sowing.
