Polish lettuce

Polish lettuce is a very rare variety of summer, autumn, and winter lettuce imported to France at the beginning of the century. It produces a very tender, blond head that is difficult to set seed.

Sowing and cultivation

Sowing : light from March to June, in a nursery or under cover. Transplant when the plants have a few leaves, in a sunny location in fertile, humus-rich, fresh soil, spaced 20 cm apart in all directions.

Harvest : approximately 2 months after sowing.
