Description

A 100% mix of messicole flowers (or wildflowers) composed of 12 annuals and 1 perennial including: annual alyssum, ammi majus, wild cornflower, harvest chrysanthemum, red poppy, wild poppy, corn cockle, soapwort, marigold, thlaspi... These flowers can return faithfully from year to year, provided that the soil is worked each fall (as in large-scale crops). Once common in fields, these flowers have now become much rarer due to the use of weedkillers. This mix is composed of the wild forms of these messicole species and not their cultivated varieties. Although composed mainly of annuals, this mix is preferably sown in the fall. Mesicoles are plants with a mainly annual cycle, whose germination is often favored by winter cold. Seeding density: 1 to 4 grams / m² Soil preparation before sowing A good cleaning with a hoe is necessary. You can practice the false sowing technique. Simply clean your plot once, wait 2 to 3 weeks to give the weed seeds time to germinate. Then do a second cleaning to have a perfectly clean soil before sowing the flower meadow. After removing the last traces of weeds, give it a good dig to loosen the surface of the soil to create a well-refined seedbed. It is not necessary to loosen in depth but only the first 3 or 4 centimeters. Sowing a flower meadow Sow the seeds broadcast from March to June or in September-October (recommended) by spreading them well over the entire seedbed. When the seeds are sown, gently pass the dig to bury them in the soil on the surface like sowing a lawn. Water thoroughly, then during the dry period, the emergence should take a few weeks. Flowering Flowering from summer for spring sowing and from spring in the following years.
