Lemon balm is an annual aromatic plant with a lemony scent and purple flowers . Very popular with bees . Height : 40 to 60 cm .
The leaves and flowers are harvested to make infusions or to flavor salads , raw vegetables , fish , and white meats . Lemon balm has digestive , aperitif , carminative , anti-nausea , and antiseptic properties.

How to successfully sow lemon balm

Sow from April to June in a box, pot in fine seed compost that should be kept moist or in open ground in well-prepared soil .

Planting in the garden

Lemon balm will appreciate a sunny, airy exposure , and will adapt to almost all types of fresh, well-drained soil, even chalky . Keep 50-60 cm between plants.
