The Vertues straw yellow onion is an old, hardy and very productive variety which produces large, flat, thick yellow bulbs which keep well .
Sowing
Sowing : from the end of February to April in rows 25-30 cm apart. Onions need light soil, without stagnant water .
Harvest
Harvest : August-September . Once the foliage is dry , dig up the bulbs and let them dry for at least 24 hours in the sun or under cover before hanging them up for several months of storage.
